The Greenery Bulacan

received_10213165290307047Let’s go somewhere near this time. I’ve been bugging Gee for quite sometime now because I want to go to a resort, not necessarily a beach, that has an infinity pool. I don’t know about you guys but I am always fascinated with it. I want to go on a weekday, thinking that there’ll be less guests and that we might end up being the only people at the resort. I want it to be near the metro because we didn’t have enough time to plan or prepare. With a little help from the internet and a couple of groups in Facebook, we found this hidden gem in Baliuag, Bulacan.

From Cubao, look for Baliwag Transit and just hop on the bus going to Baliuag. Fare for the air-conditioned bus is PHP 75. At the last stop, which is the terminal, look for a tricycle and tell the driver to drop you off at The Greenery. It’s located inside Rio Vista Subdivision. Usual fare is PHP 50. When you see a rusty gate, don’t fret! Inside it is a 50 hectare-land filled with trees and a lot of instagrammable spots.

The villas are all American inspired houses which can accommodate up to 4 people. But for big groups, they have a whole house good for 15 pax. They also allow day tour. You’re required to rent a cabana which is located beside the infinity pool. You may check their website for rates and reservations (http://thegreenery.ph).

Downside is, guests are not allowed to bring outside food inside the resort. They have a restaurant but the menu is pricey. Also, the serving time is usually 25-30 minutes, could be longer if it’s a weekend due to their number of guests. The food is acceptable, but then again, very pricey.

We would recommend this place for guests who are looking for day tours near the metro. An overnight stay is not bad too, but be ready to splurge some hard earned money.

There’s also a lighthouse near the pool. We didn’t dare to climb because it is too hot and yeah, we’re not fit anyway. Haha. Another attraction is a small train which they say is operational but at the time of our visit, it was not working. It can take you to a tour around the resort.

Going home, we asked the front desk if they can get us another tricycle to the terminal for the same amount. At the terminal, we looked for the bus bound to Cubao. That’s about it!

It’s a shame that we only knew this resort now. Gee is from Bulacan, so I don’t know what happened there. Haha.

Side Comment:

Gee: “Whaaat? Kasalanan ko pa? Seriously, the best ang jacuzzi. The infinity pool, sobrang relaxing. Worth the time and travel”.

Until next trip,

– Cha & Gee ❤

  1. Hi great blog! Does running a blog such as this require
a massive amount work? I’ve very little knowledge of programming however I
was hoping to start my own blog in the near
future. Anyway, should you have any suggestions or techniques for new blog owners please share.

I know this is off subject but I simply needed to ask.

    Thanks!
